My journey began with a simple, heartfelt need. As an educator and a parent, I stepped away from the classroom just before the birth of my first child. During this new chapter, I struggled to find fun, creative, and engaging Islamic resources for my children. I wanted them to learn about their faith in a way that felt joyful, loving, and inspiring — because I believe learning Islam should be an exciting adventure for every child.
With my background in education, I understand how powerful visual aids and interactive materials can be in helping children grasp new concepts. That’s why I set out to create resources that bring Islamic teachings to life, sparking curiosity and nurturing love for the deen. Our materials are designed to make learning meaningful and enjoyable, supporting both parents and educators.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, we can make learning about Islam a beautiful and memorable experience for every child.

Gift Giving is a Sunnah
At Simply Ilm, all our products are designed by me — Rakiaa Koor Akoob, the founder. We cherish the beautiful Sunnah of giving gifts and hope to make our products timeless reminders in the lives of those who receive them.
Many of our items are forms of Sadaqah Jaariyah — ongoing charity. Whether it’s a dhikr board, a learning activity box, or a masjid frame, these gifts are opportunities for continuous reward
“When a person dies, their deeds cease, except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.” — Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)
“Give each other gifts and you will love each other.” — (Sahih Muslim)
